Dea leads Hedman’s marketing and communications.
Most recently, she worked as the Communications Manager at e-Estonia and was part of the team driving the innovative global campaign titled The Digital Testbed Framework. The campaign exceeded even the highest expectations, going on to win the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications award as the Best Deed of 2021.
Dea started her journalism career— writing for national newspapers at 15—and worked as an editor for many TV programs. For eight years, Dea worked at the Estonian Embassy in Lisbon.
Upon her return, now fluent in Portuguese, Dea became a consultant at one of Estonia’s oldest PR agencies, KPMS & Partners. She moved on to marketing roles at various Estonian startups (including Fundwise and Jobbatical), as well as consulting roles at even more startups (Speakly, CostPocket, GameFounders, Snackable AI, etc.) She is also an active mentor and jury member for a number of startup competitions and hackathons.
