Hedman law firm advises the Foundation of Estonian PACS on personal data protection matters. Hedman also acts as a DPO for them.

The Foundation of Estonian PACS was established in 2006 by the North Estonian Regional Hospital (SA Põhja-Eesti Regionaalhaigla) and the Tartu University Hospital with the aim of providing healthcare service providers central archive of medical images.

Healthcare service providers are obligated to retain diagnostic images created during the provision of healthcare services for 30 years, and the Foundation of Estonian PACS offers archiving and display services to help meet this obligation.
