Nordic Science Investment invested in Estonian deep tech company DCR Technologies

We advised Nordic Science Investments Ky, an investor focused on science-based companies in the New Nordics region, on its investment in energy technology company DCR Technologies OÜ.

Our work included structuring the transaction, drafting the transaction documents, coordinating the process between the different parties, and formalizing the transfer of intellectual property.

The investment was first for DCR Technologies and included the transfer of intellectual property from TalTech to DCR Technologies in addition to the monetary investment. The transfer of intellectual property allows TalTech to commercialize the scientific research and for DCR Technologies to have a sound legal basis for future development and going to the market.

Nordic Science Investment is an early-stage investor focused on building science-based startups and helping commercialize the research results in the New Nordics region. Its focus areas include deep tech, health tech, and life sciences. The investor supports university spinouts from innovation assessment and development to company formation, pre-seed investment, and next funding rounds.

DCR Technologies is developing an intelligent energy solution that enables the routing and conversion of energy between different sources, storage systems, and points of consumption, speeding up the transition from conventional AC systems to hybrid DC/AC systems.
