Law firm Hedman Partners has named attorney-at-law Toomas Seppel as its new partner, thus increasing the number of partners to six.

Toomas is a member of Estonian Bar Association since 2013 and has been performing duties as an attorney. Toomas specialises in law pertaining to the technology industries. In addition, he is working with various start-ups, online gambling, gaming, e-commerce, e-sports, and SaaS companies.
Within the technology industry, he advises on EU laws concerning software-based services, implementation of new technologies and expansion into new business markets. He also covers matters related to companies with crypto-based business models and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) and advised companies on the building of products and services that comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In addition to this, he actively takes part in mentoring work with start-up companies through Prototron, Climate Launchpad and Tehnopol – all key players of Estonian start-up ecosystem.
The law firm’s partners include Kalle Pedak, Merlin Seeman, Esa Halmari, Valter Võhma and Urmas Kiik.
