Hedman advised KWOTA on securing an investment of 1,5 million euros

The Estonian start-up KWOTA raised 1.5 million euros to digitize the carbon savings from material recycling.

The pre-seed round was led by Change Ventures with Wise Guys Ventures, Lemonade Stand, Greenco Ventures, Vestman Energy, and angel investor Janis Krums.

KWOTA was established in 2021 by Rain Vääna and Argo Rannamets. The company aims to establish a global standard that will validate and trade carbon emissions savings from using recycled materials in production. 

Hedman advised the client in the investment process, advising on the investment documents and the fulfillment of conditions precedent and post-closing obligations.

The client was advised by managing partner Merlin Seeman and senior associate Kati Pino.
