Hedman advised Yaga in raising a 2,2 million euro investment

Yaga, an online selling and shopping platform for new and preloved fashion, operating in Estonia, South Africa, India, and Kenya, has raised an investment of 2,2 million euros. Yaga allows people to buy preloved clothing safely or open their online shops and sell them, earning extra money and helping save the planet.

Yaga, a pre-loved fashion marketplace from Estonia, started with a simple mission: to make thrifting easy, safe, and fun. The new investment is meant to take the company to new heights in Africa and Asia. During the last 1,5 years, the company has grown thrice and opened platforms in South Africa (yaga.co.za), Kenya (yaga.co.ke), and India (shopyaga.in).

The leading investors in this round were Startup Wise Guys, in addition Trind VenturesSpecialist VC, Latvian RUBYLIGHT, and angels Markus Villig (Bolt), Kaarel Kotkas (Veriff), Kristjan Vilosius (Katana), Triin Hertmann and Alvar Lumberg (Wise, Grünfin) participated.

Hedman assisted in negotiating the investment documents, drafting the investment agreement, the shareholders’ agreement, and the necessary corporate resolutions.

From Hedman, the client was advised by Senior Associate Kati Pino.
